Dominic Laird, aka ‘DJ Apostle’ is the founder of APS Studio and an established DJ and Studio Engineer from Wolverhampton.
As a DJ, the recently revived SOTNS mix cd series played a major part in spreading the bassline sound to all corners of the UK. As a result, he was booked to play at packed out clubs & festivals, culminating in a weekly residency @ the legendary Niche nightclub in Charter Row, Sheffield.
Seeking a new challenge, Dominic partnered up with childhood friend John Paul and local studio engineer Mitch Crane to form the ‘Beatsabar Music Project’.
During his time at Beatsabar his skills were frequently requested in the studio, engineering projects for artists such as Dapz On The Map, StayFresh and Jaykae, receiving a BPI certification award after engineering the latter’s ‘Toothache’ which sold over 200,000 copies.
Now, in 2020 Dominic has decided to focus his energy on APS Studio, bringing a high-end recording facility to help find and develop the next generation of Wolverhampton talent.

Mentioning the name ‘Spock’ to anybody involved with Wolverhampton music over the past 35 years is sure to generate a positive response.
Keith ‘Spock’ Dilworth has played a major part in developing Wolverhampton talent as part of the engineering team at the legendary Sam Sharpe studios. A talented sound engineer, Spock has worked with hundreds of talented musicians and artists from all over the West Midlands including national stars like Beverley Knight.
A true believer in finding & nurturing talent, Spock has worked with a variety of youth projects for the majority of his career, most prominently the Sam Sharpe music project (where he once discovered an 8 year old Dom, the founder of APS Studio) and to this day continues to provide workshops for various charity organisations in Wolverhampton while still teaching in schools & prisons.
Spock has a very wide skill set, playing bass guitar at a high level and developing a career as an accomplished vocal coach but his main skill is a true ear for producing high quality recordings of music.

TRC
TRC is an established multi-genre music producer and DJ specialising in just about any form of UK underground music that makes people want to dance.
He has been a key player in the Bassline scene for over 15 years, having played music to thousands all over the world and produced club anthems which have be featured on several nationally distributed compilation releases, some of which reached platinum in sales and are still on rotation to this day.
Although, TRC is more known as a pioneer of Bassline, he has also produced grime, hip hop, and a vast array of other genres for top UK artists such as Wiley, Giggs, P Money, Skepta and many more.
TRC is keen on seeing his clients mature as artists and takes some pride in being part of their musical journey. With his quirky, fun, and energetic approach to music production, TRC is currently working on placements with record labels and a few independent artists on developing their projects.

THOMAS MELLOR
Hailing From Walsall, West Midlands, Thomas Mellor has become one of the Midlands most successful producers in his field. With two BPI certified awards to his credit (Silver) and TV syncs on networks such as Netflix and Sky, his meticulous approach and persistent commitment to the power of state-of-the-art music production has seen him work with some of today’s top UK artist artists.
Over the past few years. Thomas’s warm approach to grime and experimental music -and his continued collaboration with Dapz On The Map - have resulted in regular national radio airplay, TV Syncs and credits with placements on albums by Bugzy Malone, Skepta and more recently JayKae. In 2018, a major highlight was having a track called ‘Toothache’ featured in the one of the most dramatic scenes on in the US hit TV show, ‘POWER’.
Thomas has also enjoyed helping to produce musical scores for TV advertisements. This is what sets him apart from most composers. In any music production or scoring venture, Thomas always seeks to engage the audience actively and emotionally.
